I've had this antenna for a couple of weeks now, and it only retrieved traffic info for two days. Since then, it connects to either of two radio stations in Atlanta and reports "no delays on route", even when I'm stuck in a two-hour traffic jam on I-285. Switching stations results in the "green dot" on the traffic monitor, and a further result of "no delays on route".
Several calls to TomTom tech support have been fruitless. The last time, they claimed their traffic server was down indefinitely. That would be bad enough, but the RDS-TMC information is not controlled by TomTom's service, it comes from Clear Channel's Traffic Network. The traffic server is only for their GPRS/Mobile Phone/TomTom Plus traffic service.
I had tried the TomTom Plus service prior to ordering the antenna, and it worked fairly well (when the traffic server was up) but I found the $19.95/month charge that T-Mobile added on to my bill to be a bit excessive when this antenna was supposed to do a comparable job.
I'm sending it back. If it was just an intermittent outage, I could understand that. Two solid weeks of "no traffic on route" while sitting in the I-285 parking lot for thirty-seven miles each way is ridiculous.

The first thing I will say is that once I eventually got the right RDS-TMC it was fantastic. Works like a dream in the Bay Area to get you around traffic. Anyone that uses I-880 or I-80 in the morning to get to work needs one of these. One morning it saved me an hour by getting me around an accident I did not even know was there until I was passed it, then I heard about it on the radio!
The only negatives are (1) that it needs to be plugged in to work so there is no listening to my iPod through the radio if I want traffic also. (2) It can take a few minutes (sometimes up to 5 mins) when you first calculate your route to find all the traffic info it needs when its set to automatic searching. I have not tried manual yet though.
Unfortunately the reciever sold here did not work with my TomTom as stated in the description. The ONE-130 has a USB connection and this one is a pin. It is not part 9V00.180 which is the USB one sold by TomTom.

So be careful. Check the connection you need. There are a lot of sites that sell this pin connection and say it is for the ONE series. There might be TomTom ONEs out there with pin connectors but mine certainly is not.
On the plus side though, the company was great and allowed my return and refunded my money very quickly. They say they are even trying to have this ad updated to make it more obvious.

FYI, the receiver does not look like the picture, but the important this is that it is a pin-type connection (some require a USB connection - if so, this is not for you!)
All I had to do was plug it in to get traffic info. I live in Birmingham, AL. So far, I haven't used it during some of the worst traffic. I have noticed it won't report "congestion" (your typical 5 o'clock slowness) but only atypical delays, so just be aware of that. Otherwise its fine. UPDATE:
I went to Atlanta today where they have much worse traffic. On the way home, cars started to slow and I could see impending bumper to bumper traffic ahead. At that moment, the GPS alerted me there was traffic ahead and I had to option to chose a faster route. I got off at the next exit as advised. On the overhead bridge, I could see the others in traffic as I continued to make my way along a clear route. I'm convinced.
As far as picking up a signal, I only lost a signal once during the most remote part of I-20 for about 15 mins, otherwise it was "green" the entire time.
